When I am not writing or taking care of my pets, I am regularly reading books to children as an elementary school teacher. One day, I was inspired by my dog, Betty Jean, to create a book that showcases the importance of dog rescue and animal foster programs.

Betty Jean Blue was the first foster dog I ever had, and since then, my husband and I have successfully rescued, fostered, and helped find homes for several dogs.
